Xploro is inspired by the daughter of Dom Raban, managing director at Corporation Pop. When Issy was 13, she was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma (she is now cancer-free). Throughout her treatment, she felt scared, anxious and alone. Xploro helps kids like Issy get the information they need in a fun way, easing stress, and procedural anxiety - and improving health outcomes.

Xploro uses augmented reality, gameplay, and artificial intelligence to deliver health information to young patients, in a fun, interactive way. The platform introduces young patients to the different parts of the hospital and helps them understand the procedures, technologies, and equipment they may encounter during their stay - in language they can understand.

Xploro is starting by addressing the needs of pediatric cancer patients and will continue to build the platform for “any patient, any age, any condition, anywhere.” Clinical partners include Royal Manchester Hospital, Edge Hill University, and Sutherland Labs.
