HIMSS is the largest health information and technology conference in the world, and with 43,979 attendees, this year was no exception. However, with HIMSS’s recent acquisition of Healthbox, and the undeniable presence of tech giants like Google, Uber, Lyft, and Salesforce, change was in the air at this year’s conference. But the tech heavyweights weren’t the only ones shaking things up at HIMSS.
Health IT conferences are getting a makeover! The team at Healthcare Scene is rallying a collaborative community of Health IT problem-solvers to be part of something special – the newly announced HITExpo18 (Expo.health). HITExpo18 will be May 30 – June 1, 2018 at the New Orleans Marriott and produced by Healthcare Scene – a renowned blog network that brings context to the latest news and innovations in Health IT.
This past week, I headed up to Philly with our CEO Jose Ignacio Rasco. We were proud to sponsor the eyeforpharma Philadelphia conference and lead a discussion for some of the world’s most talented pharmaceutical marketing executives on “What’s in a Name?” – why the name (and the domain name) you choose matters.
dotHealth just returned from HITMC, an action-packed, Vegas-style two and a half days discussing all things related to Health IT marketing. HITMC, Health IT Marketing & PR Conference, rallied 215+ health marketers from across the world (from as far away as Russia and Romania) to discuss the most relevant topics in health IT marketing.
Members of our dotHealth team just returned from an action-packed HIMSS17, and we wanted to recap a few of our favorite highlights. Spanning everything from robotic telemedicine devices at InTouch Telemedicine’s booth to a rapping physician at athenahealth’s Cloud Party, there was never a dull moment in Orlando at HIMSS17.
